Maya Selva Cigars will debut the Flor de Selva Ano de la Cabra 2027 at InterTabac 2026 in Dortmund — a limited-edition cigar celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Goat. The cigar is a 6 x 56 toro gordo with an all-Honduran blend: wrapper from Finca San Carlos, binder from Jamastran, and filler from Jamastran, Azacualpa, and Santa Barbara — plus a small wrap of dark Jamastran-grown tobacco around the foot for decoration and extra flavor complexity right out of the gate.
The company calls it a medium-to-full-bodied experience characterized by earthy, nutty, and cedary notes with a smooth, creamy smoke. Founder Maya Selva said the team focused on balance and complexity through precise tobacco selection and controlled fermentation, with the Finca San Carlos wrapper bringing structure and refinement. The cigars are made at the company's factory in Danli, Honduras, with 2,027 boxes of 10 produced.
A company spokesperson said the cigars are expected to ship to stores in November at an estimated price of 27 euros in Europe, varying by market; U.S. plans are not yet announced. Maya Selva has released a limited-edition Lunar New Year cigar since 2018, and the upcoming Lunar New Year falls on Feb. 6, 2027. Goat-year smokers, mark your humidors.
