After a soft launch last week, the Micallef Orange is shipping nationwide. The Fort Worth, Texas-based company began shipping the cigars on Monday, Aug. 31, aiming to have them on store shelves by Saturday, Sept. 5.
The Orange is one of two new blends added to the Color Series this year (the White debuted in February), bringing the line to seven blends — each offered nationally in the same two vitolas at the same two price points: a Robusto at 5 x 52 ($8 per cigar, $200 box of 25) and a Toro at 6 x 52 ($9, $225 box of 25). It is regular production, released Aug. 27, 2026, and rolled at Micallef Cigars S.A. in Nicaragua.
The blend pairs a Connecticut-seed wrapper of undisclosed origin over a Mexican San Andrés binder with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. It broke cover at launch events last week at Two Guys Cigars in New Hampshire, a chain with a handful of exclusive Color Series releases. Boutique family operation, national footprint — exactly the kind of lane FreedomWire covers.

The pricing is the real story here. Competition is good for everyone holding a wallet.

If the quality matches the marketing, this is an easy recommend.

Interesting take. I'd like more detail on the regulatory angle before I make up my mind.
