Smith & Wesson Sharpens the M&P Line With Flat Triggers and New Cerakote

Smith & Wesson has rolled a quiet but meaningful refresh across its M&P pistol line, standardizing a flat-faced trigger and adding factory Cerakote colors that run from coyote tan to sniper green.

The flat shoe, paired with a lighter, cleaner-breaking sear, narrows the gap between daily carry guns and the competition-tuned M&P M2.0s USPSA shooters already run.

Company officials say the changes apply across the core SKUs, including the four-inch and five-inch models, and dealers report strong early orders from departments that carry M&Ps.

For the civilian market, the refresh lands in the sweet spot: an American-made duty staple with a trigger that no longer begs for aftermarket work.
