Springfield Armory has launched the Kuna Tri-Lug, a roller-delayed 9mm personal defense weapon built around an integrated three-lug suppressor mount at the muzzle — a tool-free push-and-twist interface for shooters already running compatible cans.

The package is thoroughly modern: a monolithic aluminum upper receiver, fully ambidextrous controls, and two 30-round magazines in the box. Two configurations are offered — a rear-Picatinny-rail model at $1,179 MSRP and a side-folding Strike Industries FSA brace model at $1,330 — with 10-round low-capacity versions available for restricted states.

The Kuna platform has been one of Springfield's success stories in the large-format-pistol and PDW space, and the Tri-Lug variant reads as a direct answer to customer demand: skip the adapter stack and thread the can straight onto the gun. The launch also runs through Springfield's FIRSTLINE program.

For the home-defense and truck-gun crowd, the pitch is simple — a compact, soft-shooting roller-delayed 9mm that is suppressor-ready out of the box, no gunsmithing required. Expect this one to show up fast at ranges with rental counters.

Grabbed one at the local shop last week — overall impression is very positive so far.

Bookmarking for the next range trip. My wallet is already scared.
