Winchester Goes All-In on Competition With 19-Load Super Match Lineup

Winchester Ammunition is answering competitive shooting's growth spurt with Super Match, a 19-load lineup purpose-built for match day across handgun, rifle, and shotgun disciplines. Every load is assembled with match-grade components for shooters who have outgrown off-the-shelf hunting or defensive ammo.

The handgun side covers the action-pistol world: four 9mm Luger loads from 115 to 147 grains, plus one load each in .38 Super, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP — all full-metal-jacket round or flat-nose bullets with high-sensitivity primers for reliable ignition in tuned competition guns, loaded to meet minor or major power factor.

Rifle shooters get .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, 6 ARC, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .308 Winchester, and 7.62 NATO, several loaded with Winchester's new BC Max bullet — a polymer-tip, thick-walled-jacket design with a high ballistic coefficient. The .223 and 5.56 loads run heavy-for-caliber bullets for fast 3-Gun stages, while the bigger cartridges are tuned for precision-rifle work.

Three 12-gauge, 2-3/4-inch shotshell loads round it out for tube- and box-fed semi-autos: 1-1/8 ounces of No. 7.5 shot, a 1-ounce slug, and nine-pellet 00 buckshot, all in thick hulls with high-brass heads. From the first beep to the last steel plate, Winchester wants one box on every competitor's cart.
